Always stitching

28 September 09

I haven’t posted much over the summer…about once a month.  I’ve certainly been stitching though.  I’ve finished 3 Christmas presents and started a fourth.   I did a little blackwork design of a lobster.  I printed a picture of a lobster and used graph paper to get the basic outlines going.  I have PCStitch so I [...]

A heart and a garden

22 April 09

I’m busy at work and on the computer all day.  I haven’t felt like using the computer when I get home.  I have a couple of pictures of the things that I’ve been working on though.
Emie Bishop Hardanger heart, our guild is working on a few for our Christmas Fund Raiser

What the BoInk am I up to?

9 June 08

I’ve gotten two of the three parts stitched.  I am going to stitch the border as I go to make sure I don’t count wrong.  Here is my progress so far:

I’ve been doing some work on Christmas Mystery V as well. I don’t work on one part until it’s done, I jump around and work [...]

More Stash

26 May 08

I was working on Christmas Mystery V and realized that I had not made the border wide enough for the contents.   Grrrr.  Now I know that silk fibres are easier to frog than cotton.  I used my trusty seam ripper and took out the right hand side of the border.  I think that I will do the contents before closing the border back up.
I came [...]

Christmas Mystery V

10 January 08

Nothing like coming home to find goodies in the mail.  I got my fibre pack from European Crossstich Company today.  I wasn’t expecting it until the end of the month.  I’m going to start Christmas Mystery V tonight.  I’ll pick Heirloom Christmas Sampler back up on Friday night and probably keep working on it for the [...]

Heirloom Christmas Sampler Update..among other things

9 December 07

I’ve signed up for Christmas Mystery V and have ordered both the kit (threads, metallics and beads) from European Crosstitch Company and the fabric from Silkweaver.

Hopefully the threads and fabric work.  The down side of it is that the threads won’t get here until later in January.  Oh well, something the look forward to.

Line ‘em up and knock ‘em down?

29 November 07

I don’t know about finishing things, I certainly do start a lot.  Not into the new year and I’ve already decided to add to my ”work” load.  Definitely doing a correspondance course through EAC.
Last night we had our monthly meeting.  The programme was a small casalguidi flower with a stem and leaf teaching three basic stitches.  I [...]
