A heart and a garden

22 April 09

I’m busy at work and on the computer all day.  I haven’t felt like using the computer when I get home.  I have a couple of pictures of the things that I’ve been working on though.
Emie Bishop Hardanger heart, our guild is working on a few for our Christmas Fund Raiser

March Town Clock Stitchers Meeting

8 April 09

The majority of this meeting was taken up by our programme.  Elena is teaching us to stitch a padded tulip.  The example she was working on wasn’t all finished yet, but far enough along to get the rest of us going.

I only have the padding stitched down so far…planning on working on it over [...]

My Year for Hardanger Improvement

30 March 09

I have a three wedding gifts to stitch this year.  July, August & September.  Two cousins and a co-worker.  I am going to stitch the same pattern for all three because I like the design, it works up quickly and I want to improve in hardanger.  I should be fairly proficient by September!  I really [...]

What’s in a name…

20 February 09

In our guild (and I think this is common to most guilds) we are supposed to have a stitched name tag.  I’ve been with my guild for three years now and haven’t gotten around to stitching one.  I am tagless no longer, I finally stitched my name and am in the process of finishing the [...]

Town Clock Stitchers 27 Jan 09 Meeting

28 January 09

First meeting since November.  Seems like forever.  We talked about guild stuff and then started working on the programme for the evening.  A small coaster size richelieu doily.  The technique isn’t so bad, so far….just single and double running stitches to outline the center portion and then make the detached parts (not sure of the [...]

Been busy…lots planned for this year

12 January 09

I’ve decided that Christmas 2009 will be one of stitchy gifts.  I am going to do smaller ones.  I like stitching Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum’s free angels…they work up quickly and the result is wonderful.  I’ve already stitched a couple for presents before.
I am working on the Challenge that my guild is doing.  We did one last [...]

Christmas Stitching

10 December 08

The Oct/Nov programme for my guild was to stitch and finish a counted canvas ornament.  I didn’t finish mine in time for our Nov meeting, but paid attention to how it was done and was able to finish mine at home the following week.
Jean provided us with the outline and we used her suggestions for [...]

Stitchy Stuff

25 November 08

I am an office worker, so that means I’m on the computer for the day.  It’s been sooo busy at work for the past while that I don’t want to spend my time in the evening on my laptop.  So I mainly stitch.
The September and October Town Clock Stitchers meetings were good.  September was an [...]
